Chris Tolbert - Owner/Instructor


Chris played varsity baseball and basketball for the Pierce County Bears in Blackshear, Georgia from 1995 through 1997. He played at first base and pitcher, starting both the 1996 and 1997 seasons and helped the Bears make a first round appearance in the GHSA State Playoffs in 1997. After graduation, he went on to play one season at the University of South Carolina - Aiken. Chris had a tryout with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1999 and played two seasons for the Bettis Pirates, a semi-pro team in South Carolina. 

Chris taught baseball fundamentals at the former Batter's Box instruction facility in Waycross. He coached a midget baseball team at the Blackshear - Pierce County Recreation Department in 2004 and a 14U travel team in Waycross in 2006. In 2011 and 2012, Chris coached a Flea baseball team (8 & under) at the Blackshear - Pierce County Recreation Department. In 2012, he was an assistant coach for the 8U All-Star team representing Pierce County in the Georgia Parks and Recreation Departments state playoffs finishing sixth in the state.

Chris currently lives in Blackshear with his wife Sabrina, and their four children. They are expecting twins in March of 2013.
